The intelligent lyrics, soaring harmonies and disarming honesty of Margie Hanly and
Jane Cornes have seen the pair become Western Australia's best-loved female duo.
In April 2008, they launched their third CD, "Different". The duo's preceding four years together gave birth to two other CDs: 'On The Line' and 'Whisper The Moon'.
Doris continues to appear at festivals and other venues throughout Australia (including the 2007 Nationals), and in April 2008 completed a second tour of Melbourne.
Margie was born in Perth and comes from a family filled with music. She has worked as a solo artist and in bands for more than twenty years.
Margie is passionate about music and treasures her two Scot Wise guitars, hand-made in Western Australia.
Beyond her life as half of Doris, Margie is a qualified fitness instructor and lives with her partner Bill and her 'baby', Jack, the German Shepherd.
Jane was born in London and has lived in Perth for over 25 years. She began writing her own material five years ago, after meeting Margie at a music camp.
In her other life, Jane is a freelance features writer, restaurant critic and founder of the Juice creative writing retreat.
She lives in Perth with her daughter, Sophie.
