Boite Schools Chorus: Mission Songs Project - Day concert

The 2018 Boite Schools Chorus gives children insight into Indigenous life on the Missions last century. Jessie Lloyd’s  Mission Songs Project tells almost forgotten stories of Indigenous communities with songs of hope, endurance, longing, laced with irony and a wry humour. Backed by the 300 voices of the Boite Schools Chorus directed by Jessica Hitchcock.

The Boite Schools Chorus is an un-auditioned choir project for schools and community youth choirs. Since 2004 the Boite Schools Chorus has involved over 8400 students from across Victoria in 38 concerts in Melbourne, Frankston, Ballarat, Bairnsdale & Albury. Each year the Boite Schools Chorus engages students from across Melbourne and regional Victoria to come together and perform.
