Feel the exhilaration as ancient melodies meet modern grooves—QiQi brings the guzheng into a bold new space, blending tradition with innovation to create music that’s both moving and electrifying.

Based in Melbourne’s west, QiQi is a composer and multi-instrumentalist whose work bridges Chinese heritage with contemporary sounds. Classically trained on guzheng and double bass, and with a background in jazz, orchestral, and experimental music, QiQi’s cross-genre approach weaves storytelling, culture, and collaboration into each performance.

Their dynamic work spans festivals, art galleries, community spaces and major venues across Victoria, including the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Immigration Museum, NGV, Crown Palladium and MCEC. QiQi has performed as a soloist and in collaboration with traditional dancers, jazz artists, orchestras, and multicultural ensembles.
