About the Event

Homelands, is a multi-disciplinary performance that celebrates rituals of belonging, brought from one's homeland, ruptured by migration, healed and re-imagined in a new country, on a new land and in a new environment.

This afternoon of music, song, dance and story is a celebration of the irrepressible power of the human spirit, illuminated through the lenses of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian community of Victoria and the The Brimbank Multicultural Choir.

Artistic director Nela Trifkovic brings together 4 dynamic creative groups: Sevdalinka (directed by Amir Bukic), Dukat (directed by Senada Ekić Bosnić), The Brimbank Multicultural Choir (directed by Veronica Gauci) and her ensemble SARAY Iluminado

Proudly supported by Brimbank City Council Council through the Community Grants Program and The Bowery Theatre
