Week 1 of Term 4 Classes

Students range in age, experience and instrumentation. We have some students in high school, some retirees, with instruments ranging from cello to EWI (!!). We teach and learn repertoire aurally, and develop skills in ensemble playing, musicianship, improvisation, and of course playing Klezmer. Amy Zakar Banner and Adam Starr teach repertoire and style in a warm and inclusive manner. This will be our first week for the term, which will culminate in an end of term performance on December 12. Some students attend each class, but some are only able to attend on an ad hoc basis. We are very well organised, and provide students with links and resources to assist them learning the materials between classes.
