Voices Unbound
Voices Unbound is The Boite's young singers' choir. Led by the sensational Australian-Chilean singer Ximena Abarca, Voices Unbound meet every week and build a repertoire based on both the traditional and contemporary music of its members’ diverse cultural backgrounds. It harnesses the power of song to explore identity and individuality, build confidence and stimulate collaboration.
Voices Unbound meets weekly online, Mondays at 7:00pm, and has pioneered the use of cloud technology to support the sessions with interactive activities, choir recordings and more.

About Ximena Abarca
Ximena Abarca is a Chilean pop singer. In 2003 she won the first place in Protagonistas de la Musica (the Chilean “Voice”) which gave her the opportunity to perform at one of the biggest music festivals in Latin America: Viña del Mar. She has released several albums and has also acted in TV, film and theatre.
In 2007 she signed to be the voice “Kimie” in the American version of the children’s show “Hi-5”. Since settling in Australia a few years ago, she has been performing, recording and teaching continuously. Formed in 2010, her most recent project – Huanchaco – is a World Fusion band which draws influences from a wide spectrum of sounds including Flamenco, Folk, Jazz and Gypsy.
